I already have a Potter and a Malfoy, so that leaves Weasleys and miscellaneous characters. Blacks are out, unless I nab up Alphard, which was tempting at one point. I'd also thought about maybe picking up Ron Weasley or Bill Weasley, but I already interact with the characters they're most closely related to, and I'd like to spread my characters out among the players...does that make sense? It's Scorpius's fault, being friendly with the new-gen kids. Tsk.
I don't plan to pick up a third any time in the immediate soon, but I'm definitely thinking about it. Luna's the strongest pull right now, so maybe I'll start working on an app for her and I'll just submit it whenever.
It's been ages since I've rp-ed a girl...I think the last one was...Narcissa, maybe? I don't even know. NO WAIT. It was a female!Lucius. XDDDD (femmemalfoi), she was. I used Cate Blanchett for a PB. God, I loved her. I freaking love Cate Blanchett</a>. I also started a Ginny Weasley (ginwithakick @ LJ) but the rp she was for never got off the ground. :/ I never got to really know her.

Ohoho, I picked up Jamesie-boy at Lockewood. :D :D :D I'm pretty excited for that - I think I'll do something with Sev before James writes in the journal..I doubt he'd miss someone else tromping in the strange foreign house. ...I hope, at least.

Actually, I saw on the holds page that there's a Harry Potter and a Draco Malfoy being held for app. GOD YES. Actually, I'm looking forward to the Draco, just because Scorpius is feeling vastly outnumbered among all the Weasleys... He needs to get bondy with people.. He's so stuffy, though, compared to everyone else XD; Actually, I think he's on his best behavior with all the lads hanging around, protecting their sisters and whatnot. From Gryffindor.
James is going to freak out when he learns he and Lily had a kid and some grandkids. I look forward to it. :3
I like writing up the apps, but I think that the 'darkest secret' thing is hard. T_T Scorpius was easy, but I actually had to think about James's... I didn't want it to be a 'slept with x' mostly because James wouldn't sleep with anyone other than Lily... Even sodding drunk. I haven't decided what kind of drunk he is yet - maybe a sappy lovesick drunk, or a weepy drunk. Scorpius is...well, he's a Scorpio when he's drunk; jealous, suspicious, sexual. But I doubt he ever gets sloshed.
...anyway. I should get ready for school or something. XD

2:19 pm - a *real* update

Mel, I received your card in the mail on the 31st! :D It wasn't like I didn't get it in the proper year, so I'm not counting it as being 'late' or anything silly like that. X3
Christmas was pretty calm for me. My family isn't big on celebrating it, so it's mostly just a quiet morning, some presents, then a turkey for dinner (or a ham, if Dad's being peculiar). We had a turkey this year, and it was delish~
As for spoils, I got plenty of gift card money; Old Navy, Chapters/Indigo, Best Buy. My brother bought me Beedle the Bard, which I knew because he went shopping one afternoon and then came home all worried, asking me the title of the book again. XD; ♥ I, um, managed to purchase an XBox360 with my Best Buy cash, so I've been playing a lot of that... Mostly Oblivion. :3
New Years...well, I thought it was on Thursday this year, so I was up early with my mother on New Years Eve, and was passed out in bed by the time people were all 'where are you?!' on my cell phone... Woops?
Um, so I'm back to classes now. And I'm working two jobs - Michael's and Tim Hortons. ^^

Captain's Log, Earthdate 0501.09
This morning saw cold winds over the hull of the bus shelter, and I found myself oddly grateful for the sudden discovery of my winter boots, which had been eluding me over the past month. It had been thought that our winter would have been tame, compared to past years, but as 2009 began, it seems the climate was only delayed. This is a startling discovery, as it makes me more aware of global warming and climate changes than I have ever been in my short life.
When I arrived at the university, I was reminded exactly why I disliked taking classes in the Classroom Building. The swarm of students clustered around doorways and stairwells, clogging up the hallways and dividing large spaces with their circular meeting groups. A few minutes late, I slipped into the lecture hall only to find that the only available seats were down the stairs, at the very bottom. Unlucky. With confidence, I made my way to the front, ignoring the glances of the 200-odd people. The class is a short one, and today was mainly for introduction, so I quickly claimed a syllabus, listened to the outline, and then fled in an attempt to escape the inevitable flood of people.
I ended up forgetting my book at my seat, so such measures were unnecessary. I, again, learned the lesson of haste.
I admit, I had hopes for the bookstore to be quite calm and swift, but with a minute or so of survey from the entrance, it was decided that the purchase of notebooks could wait for another day. It was not an immediate necessity, and though I had the time to stand in line, the thought of my mother's delicious beef barley soup (wrapped in plastic in my bag) lured me to the nearest microwave instead.
I must conclude here, as I have not proceeded much further than what has been recorded above. The soup is very good, I now have a January transit pass (which is adorable, I must admit) and my thoughts are on the half hour between now and my next class. I think, perhaps, I will go and purchase the notebooks needed for my classroom studies.

I haven't really done any Prince of Tennis art lately so I figured I'd do some. It's usually just Gakuto, but I've branched out this time. ^^; Only had time for eight of my favourite boys before I passed out last night~
Left column: Yagyuu(Niou?!), Gakuto, Fuji, Daviface
Right column: Tezuka, Jirou, Jin, Yuushi
You can tell who I'm more comfortable drawing... XD; That's the first time I've ever drawn Jin, and if I had the will to go back and fix things, I'd totally put him in a wifebeater instead of my generic this-is-a-face-study shirt that's generally unflattering. I can also never get Yuushi's face to look right. :/ Jirou always looks like a sleepy kid and Tez looks far too mature for the set. I think I'm happiest with Yagyuu/Niou even though I'm, as usual, not sure which one it is. I never know with them.

TWO
In addition to working at Michael's, I've now been employed by Canada's favourite~ Tim Hortons. ^^ There's a location downtown that is a half hour bus home and fifteen minutes by bus to school. It's ultra convienient. I go for training today 6PM-9PM; training videos, uniform issuing, paperwork. I expect it to be no pressure. The store manager was pretty frank with me during my interview and didn't gloss anything. She gave me all the information I needed (bypassing the customer service speeches and corporate company speeches as I've worked in both types of work places for a while) and told me about the perks (which are nice, by the by) and made it out to be a great place to work, so long as I work for it.
*sighs happily* That's what I like to hear.
I'll be working there two-three nights a week, which is fine, as I'm still working at Michael's two nights a week as well. I think she wanted to put me in a supervisor position, but wants to see how I work first. She kept talking about management and how she wanted more university students replacing high school students in her locations (her and her husband run the two locations downtown). I don't want to put anyone out of a job, but she's being fair about it - slackers aren't kept on.
THREE
Email tag with my mother over a DHL package from my Auntie was resolved by going to the DHL website and using the tracking number. Oh mum.
FOUR
Yesterday, I found my brother's backback sitting on the backyard welcome mat. In the summer this means that he forgot his keys and is hiding out somewhere. But it's fucking cold right now, and I was home about two hours after he usually got home.
Me: ... Sean?
Him: *peeks out from inside the shed* HI. HOW ARE YOU.
Me: How long have you been out here?
Him: WHAT TIME IS IT?
Me: Um. Five-ish.
Him: I'VE BEEN HERE SINCE THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Me: ... Let's go inside, kay?
Him: O-KAY, BUT I'M STUCK IN HERE. I MADE A BARICADE. HALP.
Me: STOP YELLING.
Him: HALP!
He was more rational when I got him out of the shed (he'd used all the garden blankets to keep warm, and was wearing all four pairs of the gardening gloves DX;;;) and inside. (He'd cleared a small space on the inside of the shed so he could dance. ...to keep everything circulating and his blood moving. Pretty smart, I think, even if it sounds ridiculous.) He didn't have keys, was late for school and didn't have socks on (his feet were blistered and bleeding), broke his belt during school, and somehow managed to stumble down a staircase and break his fall against the wall with his fist (scraping the skin off his knuckles and the tops of his fingers. He didn't have bus fare to go to the mall nearby and hangout there until someone was home, none of the neighbours were home yet that day, and there aren't any payphones or anything around for him to give me or someone a call. And he hadn't eaten all day.
T__T but at the same time, wow. This is the sort of thing that makes me think that if anyone is going to spread the zombie infection without knowing about it, it'd be him. Or if anyone were to survive a zombie outbreak without knowing there was one.
FIVE
Oblivion has taken over my brain. I decided to play it last night until...this morning v_v and the only reason I stopped when I did was because the quest I was on involved headless moaning flailing fast zombies. Fucking mages. WHY MUST YOU MESS WITH THE DEAD. NECROMANCY WAS BANNED BY THE MAGE'S GUILD FOR A REASOOONNNNN. So yes. Me and zombies are sketchy at the best of times, but at four in the morning, when I'm blinky and not particularly awake enough to deal? /(T_________T)\
But other than that, I'm totally addicted to this. More than I was with Fable. Which I should finish as well...
